At Peak Appearance we use a Diamond encrusted wand and adjustable vaccum suction to gently exfoliate dead skin cells from the epidermis or surface of your skin.
We use mild Lactic Acid Peels (natural AHA’s) to loosen and remove the keratin (hardened protein bonds between the old skin cells) on the skins surface, allowing the next layer of fresh new skin cells through. Your skin immediately looks fresher, softer and feels smoother, with no down time!
The A-Zyme Peel contains scientifically proven and powerful ingredients Retinol and Bromelain to provide a dual-action peel with minimal discomfort. This peel will refine and assist to unclog while improving skin texture and tone. There is also an increase in the skin's water binding capacity resulting in more supple, plumper skin.

PDT is a specialised treatment performed with a topical photosensitising agent called ALA (aminolevulinic acid), which is activated with the correct wavelength of Blue Light. Also known as ‘ALA/PDT Treatment’. These treatments remove sun damaged pre-cancerous zones and spots called solar or actinic keratoses.
Sun damage, fine lines, and blotchy pigmentation are also improved.
Using Blue Light and ALA this treatment is suitable for all types of acne, especially cystic acne and rosacea. The ALA, which is a photosensitizing agent is activated by the blue light. The ALA is then taken up by the P.acnes Bacteria and the acne sebaceous glands. Natural chemicals called porphyrins are produced by this process, and these then destroy the acne bacteria. The ALA will also decrease skin oiliness, and minimise the appearance of pores.
